Have you seen how long my last name is?!?!?!
That’s one reason! Some of the other reasons why I use a ‘nom de brosse’ (like a nom de plume, only for painters!) is that when I was a little girl I thought that when women got married they had to change their names (and I would already be ‘famous’ and if I changed my name then no one would know who I was! LOL!).
As for the name itself, well, I am of German descent. In German, one pronounces the ‘e’ at the end of Christine. It’s sort of like Christina, only with a ‘short e’ (like 'echo') at the end. My younger bro couldn’t pronounce that so he called my Keena. I have been using that name for my artist name since I was 13 years old (it’s been awhile now!).
